Eijitsu is a fruit of Rosa Multiflora under Rosaceae or in the family of rose.  The fruit has been used as a cathartic since ancient days in Japan.  Recent studies proved that Eijitsu has antityrosinase and anti-inflammation effects.  So the material is expected to be applied to skin care products.
Eijitsu contains quercetin glycoside, which inhibits tyrosinase from working and prevents stains and freckles by suntan from generating.  Moreover flavonoids in Eijitsu is effective against inflammation on the skin.
